The client

TUI Netherlands and Belgium are investing in EV charging infrastructure on Curaçao, Aruba, and Bonaire to support sustainable travel, reduce CO₂ emissions, and promote eco-friendly tourism through the integration of solar energy and electric vehicle charging stations.

Addressing the challenge of island mobility

Travelers and fleets need reliable charging at hotels, supermarkets, tourist destinations, and remote beaches. Some locations have limited access to electricity, which requires a solution that can operate effectively in diverse environments. In collaboration with Dynaf and Last Mile Solutions, TUI will install 55 smart charging stations starting next spring. Thirty stations will be placed on Curaçao, 15 on Aruba, and 10 on Bonaire. Several stations will include solar carports to provide power in areas where electricity is not readily available.

Driving a Smarter Caribbean Mobility 

TUI’s platform enables operators to manage all stations from a single system. It allows real-time monitoring, flexible access for drivers, and integration with local renewable energy sources. The platform works across different locations and energy setups, providing consistent performance for tourists and fleet operators.

The project ensures that EV users have convenient access to charging stations across the islands. It allows the infrastructure to scale with demand and simplifies management for operators. At the same time, it supports TUI’s sustainability goals by promoting eco-friendly tourism and reducing CO₂ emissions. We provided:
